Last week, 53 transition year students met in the early hours of Monday morning and got on a flight to Barcelona airport. Why would they do this? Because for the next 4 days the students would be learning to ski at the Encamp Resort in Andorra. Over the course of the trip the future Olympians tackled the slopes, besting blue slopes and red slopes, with the advanced group even tackling the mountain’s daunting black slopes. Time was of the essence on the trip, as every second getting ready was a second not on the slopes. Because of this, students left the hotel early in the morning to be on the first gondola up and only returning to the hotel on the last gondola down. Overall, the trip was an amazing success, and massive thanks to the five teachers who accompanied the TYs.
