Well done to our 5th Year students who took on the important role of the Ukrainian Delegation at this year’s Rathdown Model United Nations. Representing a nation at the centre of global attention is no small task, but our delegates rose to the challenge with maturity, insight, and determination. Their contributions to debates, resolutions, and committee discussions were outstanding. Well done guys!

What Is Model United Nations?

Model United Nations is a simulation of the real United Nations where students act as diplomats from countries around the world. Delegates research their nation’s positions, debate current global issues, negotiate with other countries, and work together to create solutions through formal resolutions.

Model UN helps students build:
• Public speaking and communication skills
• Critical thinking and research abilities
• Teamwork and leadership
• A broader understanding of international affairs

It’s a challenging, inspiring experience and our 5th Years demonstrated just how powerful student voice can be on the world stage.
