Our U16 basketball team faced a very strong St Declan’s College side in a challenging game. St Paul’s battled hard throughout, showing great determination and continuing to compete right to the final whistle. The game gave the team a valuable opportunity to try out new offensive plays against a zone defence. Well done to all the players for their effort, resilience and commitment.
Our U19 basketball team suffered a tough defeat, also facing a very skilled St Declan’s side. With several key players still missing through injury, St Paul’s faced a difficult challenge but showed great determination and resilience throughout. Unlike in last week’s game, our outside shots unfortunately weren’t falling, but the team continued to work hard and compete right to the final whistle. Another valuable game under their belts, with plenty to take forward and build on as the season progresses. Well done to injured TY student, OisĂn Mullen, who contributed greatly today as Assistant Coach. Bailey Whelan also deserves credit for doing the same last week when he was injured.
