Our Under 16 boys’ basketball team delivered a commanding performance on Monday 17th, securing a 57–31 victory over Coolmine Community School. The starting five set the tone early with an impressive scoring run in the opening quarter, and the full squad saw valuable court time throughout the game.
Bailey Whelan was Player of the Match, dominating under the boards, producing outstanding rebounds and put-backs, while also standing strong as a key offensive centre. Ben Kelly electrified the crowd with three three-pointers, each met with huge cheers from our supporters — a mix of our own bench and Mr Pender’s Transition Year Maths class, who attended to gather real-time match data for upcoming statistics work.
The team now look ahead to their next challenge, an away game against Nord Anglia in Leopardstown on Monday 24th. We wish the squad the very best of luck—let’s keep the momentum going!
