Model UN – International Prestige

March 13, 2026

Over the past 6 months, a group of dedicated fifth year students have begun a new venture: International relations. Acting as a delegation representing many United Nations member states; From Yemen to Tanzania to Japan to Ukraine to Columbia, these young diplomats have debated and negotiated current UN policy, and new resolutions.

This includes discussion on topics such as the illicit organ trade, piracy in international water, and the reformation of the UN security council itself. Beginning in Rathdown at RADMUN in November, the debaters have attended five conferences. Delegates, although still finding their feet, still managed to garner distinguished delegate awards for James Logan in Blackrock and Wesley College. In the most recent conference, HFCMUN, in Holy Faith Clontarf. Two days of debate and discussion, both in small committee rooms and on the big stage at the General Assembly ended in Issac Stringer winning the best delegate award and Alex Salpuc winning the commended delegate award.

This is a huge leap forward for the Model UN club and we wish them more success going forward!
